What is the most beautiful place in the world?

Every time I visited a newer and newer waterfall, creek or park, I thought “this is the most beautiful place, more magnificent than any place I've been”. And yet I would drive to the next amazing place, which turned out to be the best...

Every place, literally, absorbs a part of your soul. If you stay longer at certain address, the power of the bond is stronger than a fleeting holiday. You may reach the point where you no longer know where you belong or even feel that your place is nowhere at all. The so-called ‘inhabitant of the Earth’ - the boundaries between countries, races even sometimes species disappear and we are only divided by our mental limitation.

This nostalgia of beautiful places which moved your inner self is so strong, that sometimes you go back to them physically (although it's really all about the emotional part, which then works). But it's not the same anymore and never will be. Your brain also tricks you over time, because it erases those worse moments so it's always so cool and nice in the memories and that pushes you to go back. And yet there is so much more ahead of you.... only that unknown.

Being on a tear happens on all levels of life (not just travel). But every choice is good, because it's good that you have one at all.

And these choices bring you to the point where you finally find the most beautiful place in the world and it is in .... next article.

North Island of New Zeland

I spent the second night at the Wairere Falls parking lot, which I went to the next day (50 min walk to the view point and another 1.5h to the top).  The walk was unearthly as if through the domain of Rivendell and the waterfall itself is stunning in its power and height. I made an attempt to go to the top, but after 10 minutes up I relented with my condition after a poor night in the car.

I spent the night at Fernland Camp Hot Pools, where I was able to soak my butt in hot pools like a boss (aside from the fact that it was a 30-degree day). In the town of Tauranga, which has a wonderful and long beach, it turned out that there was a rege festival so the streets were unbearably noisy, so I bought a night in a hostel, which was not very convenient for the price but well... I needed it.

The next day I spent the night with ducks all around in the huge McLaren Falls Park, just to visit Hobbiton again for coffee.

Sleeping in the car is really tiring and sometimes it's not sleeping but napping. So I came to Hamilton for 3 nights in a hostel to get a decent night's sleep. During that time I went to Bridal Veil Falls, which was WOW, and on the way I met an emu in the enclosure (I confused with an ostrich because I don't really know the difference).

The next day I did a crazy caving adventure in Waitomo, in the icy water (I have no idea by what miracle I lost my shoe...) to see glow worms, which SPOILER!!!!!! turned out to be fungus and not glow worms.... and hooked up with the next waterfall - Marokopa Falls. On the way there was Piripiri cave and Natural Bridge and I had an overnight stay in Piopio park.

I'll answer quickly, for the more lazy ones, so you don't have to read such a long and persistent article....

It's impossible to choose one.

And for those who are curious about the deeper philosophy, you can take a peek at what follows.

After my 3-month stint at Subway Whitianga and the purchase of my first ever and wonderful car, I set out to travel the northern island of New Zealand.

Clearly, I was stressed. And that's because as I usually plan everything down to the last dot, and now I chose the "yolo" version. So I only had a list of places on the map that I want to visit and the rest would come out in the wash. It was a bit more than stresful for me as sometimes it turned out that on the spot where I planned to sleep, I couldn't legally do it in my car because I don't have self-contained so after a 1.5h drive I had to drive another 1.5h to a place that I also didn't know if it was restricted. Not to mention looking for a supermarket or the cheapest gasoline along the way (the average price for present time was $2.65 per L).

My first stop after leaving the flooded Coromandel, fell on the road to the camp (which was not worth as all as what I found on the spot was literally crap - the toilet with one whole in the ground..). Very often on trekking trails there are huuuuge bridges pinned with lines and they swing in the wind - but supposedly safe, although I was shitting my pants, because you can see everything through them and I have a fear of height obviously.

On that Dickey Flat Campsite I went to see a waterfall and after crossing 2 of these enormous bridges, I found I had to go through a 50-meter-long tunnel in the total darkness..........

No chance. I turned out to the parking lot and went to sleep right next to the hearse, which was having a party inside.... For the camp I paid $10 a night - I could have avoided it if I had gathered before 6 a.m., because that's when the local inspector was arriving.

The next day I fulfilled what I came to NZ for. Read more here.

Once I could die, I continued the trip further and went to the most magical place - Te Waihou Blue Springs. No photo can illustrate this beauty - it was something unbelievable.
